As a young child, Riderman enjoyed music and poetic writings but everything changed after he attended a Lucky Dube concert at Amahoro Stadium Kigali.
After the concert, he was inspirited to combine these talents to start his hip-hop performance.

In 2006, he formed his first music group, UTP. He later formed Soldier, a musical band which he performed as the lead singer with other two teenage boys.
He went solo after dropping his solo debut album on 28 December 2016. Riderman released Ikinyarwanda in 2018, featuring Bruce Melody.
His childhood style and musical taste were inspired by Ruwandan musicians such including Jean-Christopher Matata, Benjamin Rutabana and Kidumu.
Later he started admiring foreign hip-hop and rap figures. Rap artists he admired includes Tupac Amaru Shakur, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and Diams.
He has collaborated with many notable international figures that have played in Ruwanda including Sean Paul, Lauryn Hill, Mr. Flavour, Elephant Man, Koffi Olomide, Brick and Lace, Sean Kingston, D’banj and Shaggy.
